I have been so busy and not very good as posting! The summer of a Pastor's life is filled with weddings, rehearsals, VBS and sadly funerals. Last night after returning from VBS I stepped on a Thomas Train right in the arch of my foot and it still isn't very happy today, one of those little Take Along Thomas ones that die cast metal and OUCH!
My potato plants are HUGE and are done flowering, I am just waiting fo them to die so I can dig them up the anticipation is nearly killing me! A few little red potatoes were poking up through the top pf the soil so I covered them again. My "early girl" tomatoes are all done and dead, I don't think I will grow those again as they each only did about 2-3 tomatoes per vine. I have some "Roma" ripening and there are easily 20-30 green ones still on each plant. Strawberries did well but the birds or little boys beat me to them. One thing that did get eaten by the japanese beetles was the zucchini so I may gladly accept those form the friendly neighbors. Brussel sprouts and broccoli have been drown by all the rain so we shall see what develops.
